The QCHA offers programs ranging from the beginner to the experienced player.
Beginning Hockey programs
are offered to both young players with no skating experience, as well as players of that have limited skating experience. The One Goal
program is a national and international program that is a great combination of hockey education, basic skill development, and affordable equipment. It is available to children ages 5 to 8. The Learn to Play Hockey
program offers the next steps in instructional hockey, preparing the player for house league particpation.
is the Quad City Ice Eagles in-house league. We have house league teams ranging from Mini Mite level to high school.
teams are formed to play at a more competitive level, which requires travel around the Midwest area. Teams are formed through tryouts and have more intensive practices and games. The QCHA's travel teams are know as the Quad City Ice Eagles and field teams at Mite through Midget Levels. Most QCHA teams participate in the Midwest Hockey League. players may choose to participate in House League.
However, players must conform to certain requirements. Contact Dave Jones, QCHA House Director, for more information.
(Limited travel) are formed from players in the House League who want some additional competition. These teams also travel but on a more restricted basis than full Travel teams.
Quad City Blues
are the high school Varsity and Junior Varsity hockey teams. They play in the Midwest High School Hockey League and play teams from throughout Iowa and communities along the border of Iowa.
